Sitter Rates:
With Bambino, what you see is what you get. Each Sitter’s profile transparently displays their hourly rates. Check out the estimated total cost before booking, so there are no surprises later!
When Do I Pay?
Just enter your credit card details to book a sit, but don’t worry, you’re only charged after the sitting is completed. Confirm the sit times, pay through the app, and voila!
Service Fee:
We have a tiny service fee of $4.95 at the end of each sit. We know fees are a bummer. But this little bit helps us keep the Bambino app running smoothly. We’re dedicated to making your experience of finding, booking, and paying for trusted local Sitters as seamless and easy as possible!

We’re all about community here. Think of us as the friendly neighbor who knows everyone and loves connecting with folks. So, we rely on good ol’ word-of-mouth recommendations. Every Sitter on our platform has been given the thumbs-up by at least one Parent from your community. Feel like doing a little sleuthing? Go ahead, read reviews, and see which Sitters your friends adore. We’re all about that “It takes a village” vibe.
While recommendations are golden, we also do our homework. All our Sitters have to pass some essential checks to prove they’re the real deal. Check out some of the essential checks our Sitters go through here.
Remember, Parents have been swapping Sitter suggestions at the playground, PTA meetings, and coffee catch-ups for eons. With Bambino, it’s the same village-to-village chatter, just digital and at your fingertips. If you ever want a second, third, or even fourth opinion, just reach out to your friends. Want to share the love? It’s easy peasy! Just share the app with your Sitter using your one-of-a-kind ‘Refer-a-Friend’ link. You can find it hanging out in the ‘My Account’ tab in your Bambino app. Once your Sitter has the app too, you can book and pay them straight from your phone! Say goodbye to those ATM dashes or checkbook hunts. Everything you need, from booking to paying, is all in one handy place with Bambino!
And here’s a little secret… your Sitter will be thanking you big time! By joining Bambino, they’ll connect with other awesome families in the neighborhood. It’s more than just easy bookings and payments; it’s about growing a community of happy parents and happy Sitters. Now, that’s what we call a win-win!
We get it, sometimes your plans change and you need to cancel. It happens to everyone. In the event you need to cancel, we ask that you give your Sitter as much notice as possible, but at least 24 hours notice so they have a chance to make other plans. Parent-initiated cancellations within 24 hours of the booking start time will incur a $2.95 fee. Parent-initiated cancellations within 2 hours of the start time will incur a charge of one (1) hour at the reserved Sitter’s published rate or $20, whichever is greater. There will be no charges to the parent in the event the Sitter cancels.
We understand that you are depending on your Sitter to arrive on time. Sitter reliability is of the utmost importance to us. As such, we track cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled booking time. If a Sitter’s reliability rating falls below an acceptable level, we deactivate their account. We consider cancellations within 2 hours of the booking time to be equivalent to a no-show. Every no-show/last-minute cancellation is reviewed by our member support team and Sitters face immediate deactivation when appropriate.

Set up your profile effectively and embark on your Bambino babysitting journey with confidence!
Our data shows that Sitters who use our profile photo suggestions (below) book far more sits than those who do not. What does that mean for you? Better profile = more connections, which in turn means more $$$$$ for YOU!
Your photo should be:
- Clear and bright – Lighting matters!
- Only you – for the safety and security of you and our families, you need to be identifiable from your picture when you arrive to a booking. Think of this how you would a ride-share app that shows you the make and model of the car you will be getting into. Safety depends on Parents being able to easily identify you from your profile picture.
- Recent Photo -The security of our app depends on you! Your profile picture needs to be a picture that is 3 months old or less. If you have recently made major changes to your appearance, it will need to be newer. Use good judgment!
- Job ready – Your photo should be the BEST representation of who you are! That means you want to look “first day on the job ready”. Put your best foot forward, or in this case, best SMILE!

Setting Up Payments:
On Bambino, all transactions are cashless and handled securely within the app! To set up your payment preferences, head to your “My Account” tab and click on “Set Up My Payment Account.” Have any questions about Stripe, our payment processor? Check out the FAQ linked in the app for more info about Stripe Payments.
How Much Will I Earn?
You have the freedom to set your own rates on Bambino! If you’re unsure about what to charge, use the helpful chart within the app to find a suitable rate based on your area and experience. To modify your rate, go to “My Account” and then click “My Hourly Rate.” Remember, any changes will only apply to future sits.
When Will I Receive Payment?
Get paid effortlessly after each sit. Parents will confirm and complete your payment, which will then be automatically deposited into your account within 2-5 business days. For a quicker payout, opt for Stripe’s “Instant Payment” option for a nominal fee (availability may vary).
Note: It’s against Bambino’s policy for Sitters to request or receive payment outside the app. This is to ensure both parties have a secure and trustworthy payment experience.
After a parent confirms your payment, it will be processed on the next business day via Stripe, a leading payment processor. The funds will be deposited into your bank account within 1-3 business days, based on your chosen option. You can also opt for Instant Payments.
If you babysit from Friday evening to Sunday, expect your payment by Wednesday evening at the latest. Payments for evening jobs are processed the next business day. Please note, that bank holidays and payments made with American Express may cause delays.
To ensure prompt payment, please double-check your account information by navigating to My Account > Payments.
To join our Bambino community, you need to be at least 13 years old. For our friends who are under 18, don’t fret! We’ll just need a thumbs-up from your parent or guardian. We’re here to make things smooth and simple, guiding you step-by-step during the registration process to get all the permissions needed. You’re not alone in this; we’re here to welcome you into the Bambino family with open arms!
In the Bambino community, our aim is to establish solid connections between neighborhood parents and Sitters. Bambino is all about making these connections easier, convenient, and safer. We firmly believe that trust is nurtured through physical and social proximity, and our goal is to create a community where neighbors and friends validate each other.
Make Connections and Stay Informed
- Connect with Friends on the App: By linking your phone contacts and browsing the Community tab, you can add friends to your Favorites, helping you see any mutual connections with families requesting your services.
- Check Parent Verification: Look to see if the parent has previously completed a sit through the app with another Bambino Sitter.
- View Essential Information: Review the parent’s name and address before accepting a sit request.
- Provide Feedback: After ending the sit, submit feedback about your experience. Any negative feedback is carefully reviewed by our Bambino Member Care Team.
- Opt-Out Option: If you prefer not to sit for a family again, choose the “thumbs down” option, hiding your profile from the family’s future searches.
