My Journey as a Social Media Intern at Bambino: Lessons Learned and Memories Cherished

May 17, 2023 | Journal, Community

As my time as a social media intern at Bambino draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible experiences and lessons that have shaped me during my time with this vibrant and innovative company. From working with an amazing marketing team to embracing the value of making mistakes, my journey has been nothing short of transformative.

I am currently pursuing a degree in Economics with a minor in Event Management as a rising senior at the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. Beyond my academic pursuits, I have a profound passion for adventure and cooking extravagant meals, which leads me to dream of residing somewhere in Spain, my favorite country, someday. The vibrant culture, rich history, and exquisite cuisine make it an enchanting place to call home.

Embracing Growth and Learning

Throughout my internship, I have come to realize the immense value in learning from mistakes. Bambino has provided me with a supportive environment that encouraged me to take risks and grow from the challenges I encountered. Each misstep was an opportunity to improve and develop my skills further. I am grateful to have had a mentor who recognized the importance of personal growth and provided guidance along the way.

At Bambino, I had the privilege of working on various aspects of social media, focusing on growing the Pinterest, producing TikToks, and engaging with our incredible community. It was an opportunity to unleash my creativity, connect with our audience, and contribute to the brand’s online presence.

My favorite TikTok trend during my time here was undoubtedly the “whack a doodle” trend, as it perfectly encapsulated the adventures and surprises that defined my Spring semester. Additionally, being a fan of Wes Anderson’s aesthetic, the Wes Anderson trend held a special place in my heart, as it reminded me of the whimsical charm of “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Advice to Incoming College Freshmen:

As someone who recently started their own college journey, I understand the mix of excitement and nerves that come with beginning this new chapter. My advice to incoming freshmen is to remain true to yourself, embrace opportunities for personal growth, and never hesitate to step out of your comfort zone. Surround yourself with close friends who will support and uplift you, and remember that setbacks are merely stepping stones to success. Trust in the process, as they say on Tiktok, and keep pursuing your dreams.

As I bid farewell to Bambino and reflect on my journey as a social media intern, I am filled with gratitude for the transformative experiences and cherished memories that have shaped me. From embracing growth and learning from mistakes to the joy of babysitting, this internship has allowed me to explore my creativity, connect with an incredible community, and discover new passions. I love this community!

Best,

Abigail Green
